Slack Migration FAQ

Mac Admins Slack moves to Slack’s Enterprise plan starting Friday 9 October 2026 at 11:30 p.m. EDT. Slack will be fully down for about 18 hours, and direct messages need roughly 10 more hours to catch up.

Follow progress on the live status page while Slack is down.

Before 9 October: make sure you have a Slack password, and screenshot any custom profile fields you want to keep.

Go to macadmins.slack.com and choose “Enter email and password”.
Sign in again on every device: desktop app, phone and browser.

The Mac Admins Slack is a service provided by the Mac Admins Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, for the betterment of the Mac Admins Community.

To join, request an invitation below. Slack will email your invite, usually within a few minutes. Some requests are checked by a volunteer first, which can take a couple of days.

User Groups

Mac Admins around the world organize local meetups and user groups to share knowledge, build connections, and support each other in person.

Many groups coordinate through the Mac Admins Slack — look for channels with a city or region prefix (e.g. #seattle, #london, #austin) to find a group near you.

This page will eventually contain a list of known user groups. If you would like your group to be listed here, please drop us a note using the method below.

The Mac Admins Slack Workspace (or just “Mac Admins Slack”) is a global online community of people who manage Apple devices and services at large and small scales. The community is built around public and private channels focusing on managing Apple devices and services. While many channels are not focused specifically on managing Apple devices and services, all community participants are asked to act professionally, and must comply with the following Code of Conduct (“CoC”).
